Tolar TexasTolar is a small city in Hood County, Texas, situated on a little less than one square mile, approximately 8 miles southwest of Granbury and about an hour southwest of Fort Worth.  The population was only 681 as of the 2010 census. Tolar is part of the Granbury, Texas Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Just to the northeast is the town of Granbury with its historic square and beautiful lake, while just to the southeast is Glen Rose with nearby Fossil Rim Park.  Tarleton State University, a well respected school and part of the A&M University System, is nearby and offers a wide selection of departments and programs.

Tolar has a friendly, quiet, small town atmosphere, as well as an excellent school system, and has been growing steadily over the past few years.
