Benbrook Lake, Tarrant County, Benbrook, TexasBenbrook is situated on 12 square miles in the southwest corner of Tarrant County and considered a direct suburb of Fort Worth.  It is also part of the Fort Worth School District with Western Hills High School serving the area.

Benbrook offers quality-of-life amenities that exceed many of its neighboring communities.  From hike and bike trails, to over a thousand acres of parkland, to the friendly neighborhoods, Benbrook is a great place to live and raise a family.  Residents are proud of their recreational amenities, annual events, schools, and civic groups.

In the early part of the 1900's homes were built in the area by such people as Elliot Roosevelt, (son of then President Roosevelt), Ellison Harding (president of Fort Worth National Bank), and Ed Sproles (head of Texas Motor Truck Transport Company).

The Elliott Roosevelt home was in the area of what is now the east side of Lake Benbrook, near St. Francis Village.  The Benbrook History Tour map takes you to many historic destinations within the city

Benbrook Lake is a full scale recreational area with camping, fishing, hunting, boating, and hiking.
